Recruitment Coordinator

The Recruitment Coordinator would have the opportunity to reach out to potential families and support the Head Start program staff in all recruitment efforts.


Day to Day – What Does It Look Like?

As a Recruitment Coordinator, every day will look different.  This is a NEW position that has been developed to support our program on our Full Enrollment Initiative.  The goal of the position is to grow our program back to and sustain us at full enrollment.  This person will focus on opportunities in the community to raise awareness, give parents / guardians an opportunity to enroll their children, and to promote Head Start with our community partners.  This will be done through a variety of strategies, including attending events, doing outreach to community partners, assisting families in completing applications, creating materials for our social media platforms and other digital marketing, coordinating our staff recruitment efforts, and maintaining contact with families on our waitlist.      

You’ll be part of our management team and work with our field staff on a regular basis.  

The office location for this position is Oklee or McIntosh, MN.        

The current schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.  There will be later hours during the week or on weekends for recruitment events, although these will be inconsistent and will allow you to adjust your schedule to maintain 40 hours / week.

  • A person that is creative, that can use our provided tools / software to engage parents / guardians.  A person that can adapt materials to connect with different populations.
  • A person that is organized, can manage their time with multiple tasks and paperwork.
  • A person with strong computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree, with a preference for a degree or credential in a related field OR the combination of education experience in public relations, communication, marketing, sales, community engagement, or other related areas. 
  • Experience working with a Head Start program preferred
  • Must complete a background check prior to hire
