Home Visitor
Home Visitors have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families with young children, helping them reach their full potential by working with them in their homes on a weekly basis.
Day to Day – What Does It Look Like?
As a home visitor, you’ll visit one-on-one with 10-12 families for 90 minutes each week. Each family’s visit will look different based on their needs. Home Visitors plan and implement weekly lessons, complete assessments on the children, take observations and record their child development and behaviors.
You’ll have a team of other home visitors to plan and network with on a daily or weekly basis.
The office location for this position is based on the caseload. Currently we are seeking applicants that can work in either Thief River Falls or Oklee, MN.
Typical home visitor schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30 am-5:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 am-12 noon. There is the possibility of later hours during the week for home visits after families get off work, or evening and weekend recruitment or family events.
Who are we looking for?
- A person with great communication skills. A person that can talk with parents and children (primarily ages 0-3).
- A person that has patience and are able to work with people with different abilities.
- A person that is creative, that can use our provided curriculum and engage young children and parents. A person that can adapt these lessons for different ages and abilities.
- A person that is organized, can manage their time with multiple tasks and paperwork.
- A person with good computer skills.
Qualifications
- Home Visitor CDA (Child Development Associate) or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Do not have these credentials? Apply anyway – we may be able to train you!
- Experience working with young children (personal or professional) preferred
- Must complete a background check prior to hire.

Assistant Teacher - Long Term Substitute
Assistant Teacher - Long Term Sub will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families with young children, helping them reach their full potential by working with children in a classroom on a daily basis.
Day to Day – What Does It Look Like?
As an assistant teacher, you’ll work with a group of preschool aged children Monday through Thursday. Class is held from 8 am to 3 pm each day. The Lead Teacher provides a lesson plan and directions / guidance on how to implement the lesson plan.
You’ll have a team of other teachers to lean on in the classroom. Classroom duties include working with children one on one, working with small groups of children to learn new skills, supervising children on the playground, cleaning and classroom prep, and assisting with serving meals to the children.
The classroom is located in Bagley, MN. Staff training days will be held, primarily, in Oklee, MN on a monthly basis.
This position is approximately 3 months at 32 hours a week, with additional intermittent hours to follow on an on-call basis.

Case Manager - Family Services
Thief River Falls Location
We are expanding our Family Services department - looking to fill two positions!
Case Manager: 40 hours a week. The Case manager will recruit, coach, and provide comprehensive coordination of services to homeless and at risk of becoming homeless youth, individuals, and families.
